The Color of Greed
[/b]This is a simple luck/greed based challenge. The colorful hexagon above is made up of 30 triangles. Behind each triangle is one of three things: 1) a positive point amount, 2) a negative point amount, or 3) an outcome (both good and bad).
Everyone will have their own playing board, which means that the things behind your triangles will be the same as the things behind other peoples', but they will be in different locations for everyone to prevent cheating.
When you are ready to do the challenge, simply find me on AIM, and start picking triangles. I will tell you what is behind each triangle and keep a running score for you. You can stop at any time once you have selected a minimum of 5 triangles. But, if you turn over EVERY triangle, you will finish with 0 points, plus all of the outcomes that you selected (there are only 2 different possible outcomes).
Once you decide to stop, you will lock in your score, and then I will have one final offer for you, which I will explain to you in AIM. It's VERY simple, and as I said earlier, relies on some luck, but also relies on you not getting too greedy, and making sure to stop when you're ahead.
52 points would be a perfect score (assuming you turn over all of the positive triangles and none of the negative triangles), just to give you an idea of what kind of points are good or bad.
You have until 7pm EST Wednesday to find me on AIM or to at least make contact with me saying when is a good time to get you on AIM. I estimate that the challenge can be over in 5-10 minutes as long as you don't take forever to make decisions.
PLEASE don't wait until the last minute to do this. I'd like to get most of you finished tonight if possible, since I work during the day. I plan to be on AIM most of the night, so come find me!
